Your wedding morning: 3 tips to keep everything flowing

After a year of planning, the day is finally here. And the last thing you want that morning is a setback.

For you, it’s the first time you’ll live your wedding morning. For us, it’s something we’ve lived every weekend for years, alongside brides, families and vendors. This is what we’ve seen make the difference in keeping those hours calm.

1. Set aside time to eat

It sounds obvious, but it’s one of the first things to be forgotten. The morning goes by fast, there’s a lot going on and, before you know it, it’s time for photos and you haven’t had breakfast. An empty stomach and nerves aren’t the best combination.

One idea that works really well is a small bar with coffee, water, fruit and something light. That way, everyone getting ready has something on hand without interrupting the schedule.

2. Leave at least 30 minutes of buffer before the ceremony

It’s a day when emotions run high, and it’s very common for something to run late: delays, someone arriving late, last-minute changes, more photos than planned. We’ve seen it all. When there’s a 30-minute buffer before the ceremony, the difference shows for the bride, for the family and for every vendor.

3. Be clear on photo times

Before the wedding, agree with your photographer on:

  • What time you need to be ready for your photos, especially if there will be getting-ready photos and inform your stylists.
  • What time your mom, and everyone else getting ready need to be ready for the photos (usually after the bride).

With this information, we plan makeup and hair times that match reality, and the day unfolds more peacefully.

Your peace of mind is our priority

Knowing these times lets us shape your makeup and hair schedule so your morning feels unhurried.
